Flower Size .16" [4 mm]

Found in Puno department of Peru as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a stem enveloped completely by numerous, loose, imbricating, tubular, hyaline sheaths apparently leafless that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, erect, 8.82" [22.5 cm] long, cylindric, 1.48" [3.7 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with short, broadly ovate, retuse, erose dentate hyaline floral bracts.
