Common Name The Lilac Acanthophippium

Flower Size 1.25" [3.1 cm]

Found in Sabah Borneo in deep leaf litter in primary, lowland to hill forests at elevations of 300 to 1300 meteres as a large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with fleshy, cylindrical, green pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, elliptic, acute, plicate, subacuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall, late winter and early spring on an erect, basal, to 12.8" [to 32 cm] long, to 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, greenish white flushed lilac-pink floral bracts
