Common Name The Painted Acanthophippium

Flower Size 1.6 to 1.8" [4 to 4.5 cm]

Found in the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan in rain forests at elevations of 300 to 400 metres as a medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with elongate-clavatefleshy pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, apical, ellipticv to oblong, petioalte base leaves that blooms in the late spring through summer on an erect, arising with a new growth, 6 to 7.2" [15 to 18 cm] long, densely 3 to 6 flwoered inflroescence.
