Found in southeastern New Caledonia in montane rain forests at elevations of 800 to 1100 meters as a warm to cool growing terrestrial with a tuber giving rise to a stem carrying a whole, ovate leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
