Acianthus tenellus Schltr. 1906 Photo by © Edouard Faria
Common Name The Dark Brown Acianthus
Flower Size
Found only in New Caledonia in rocky scrublands on rocky ground at lower elevations as a miniature sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect, light green stem carrying a single, ovate, deeply cordate, wavy margined leaf held 3/4's of the way up the stem from the ground that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, terminal, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence
Some references including Kew give this one as a synonym of A elegans but they seem to be world's apart. I need better references
