Common Name The Rosy Acrorchis

Flower Size .6" [11.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica and Panama on the highest ridges and peaks on rocky slopes at elevations of 850 to 2400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or occasional terrrestrial with slender, branching stems carrying 6 to 10, distichous, fleshy, elliptic to elliptic-ovate, retuse, dark green above, gray-green with dark vein beneath leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, short, fascile of successively 1 to 2, several flowered inflorescence with short lived flowers. The plant habit is very Epidendrum-like.
