Common Name or Meaning The Two-lobed Aerangis [refers to the leaf]
Flower Size 1" to 2" [2 to 4cm]
Found in Senegal, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon ND THE Central African Republic in forests, woodland and thickets, as well as on cultivated crops such as coffee and cocoa up to elevations of 700 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, epiphytw with with short to 8" long stems carrying, 4 to 12, obovate, unequally bilobed apically, fleshy or leathery, dull green leaves with black spots that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, 4 to 16" [10 to 40 cm] long, pendant or arching raceme that carries from 2 to 20, waxy, fragrant gardenia to lily scented, long-lived flowers. This species requires high humidity and can be grown in a pot with a bark mix or mounted on cork or treefern and provided moderate shade.
