This is a small sized, warm to cool growing, epiphytic species from central Madagascar in high shady rain forests with almost no stem carrying several, unequally obtusely, bilobed leaves that blooms in the fall and sometimes winter on a pendant, wiry, one to few flowered, 12 to 30" [30 to 75 cm] long inflorescence.
