Common Name or Meaning The Short Seed Pod Aerangis

Flower Size 3/4 to 1.8" [2 to 4.5 cm]

Found in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Malawi and Zambia in highland forests in deep shade low down on tree trunks and branches at elevations of 1500 to 2300 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a woody, erect to pendant stem carrying 4 to 12, obovate to spatulate, unequally bilobed apically, dark green often black spotted leaves that blooms in fall on an axillary, arching to pendant, terete, racemose, to 16" [40 cm] long, 2 to 12 flowered, slightly fractiflex inflorescence.
