Common Name Hermann's Aeranthes

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Reunion in forests at elevations of 400 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a short stem carrying very close set, oblong-lanceolate, undulate margins, obliquely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late spring, summer and fall on a from beneath the leaves, very slender, enveloped completely by sheaths 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, always single flowered inflorescence
