Common Name Lady Lawrence's Aerides [wife of English Orchid Enthusiast 1800's]

Found in the Philippines at elevations up to 500 meters in bright light locations as a large to giant sized, hot growing, monopodial epiphyte with an elongate stem carrying strap-shaped leaves and blooms in the late summer, fall and early winter on a 2' [60 cm] long, arching, densely many [30] flowered, racemose inflorescence that has heavy, waxy, fragrant lemon spice, honey to anise scented, long-lasting flowers.
