Common Name Perrier's New Aeranthes [French Botanist in Madagascar 1900's]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in the east northeastern Madagascar in evergreen forests in mosses and lichens at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 9 to 10, thick, rather leathery, stiff dark green, oblong-linear, strongly equally to unequally, obtusely bilobed apically, conspicuously ribbed leaves that blooms in the spring on a pendent, slender, peduncle thread-like, dark green, 20 to 28" [50 to 70 cm] long, often 3 to 4 branched, branches to 16" [40 cm] long, internodes longer than the dark brown sheaths, successively 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
