Found in Zimbabwe in riverine forests at low elevations as a small to just medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short, woody stem enveloped by old dry leaf sheaths and carrying 2 to 6, in 2 rows, lanceolate, conduplicate below leathery, slightly glaucous leaves that blooms on a sometimes branched, each branch single flowered, to 15" [35 cm] long inflorescence enveloped basally by to 15, imbricate, sheathing bracts.
