Common Name The Robust Aeranthes

Found in east central Madagascar in montane forests at elevations of 1300 to 1600 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a pedent stem enveloped completely by leaf sheaths carrying 2 ranked, close set, linear, flat, fleshy, conduplicate, apically blunt, equally bilobed leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, flexuous, pendent, peduncle to 20" [50 cm] long, with a few, widely separated bracts, successively single, to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying not widely opening, yellow green flowers.
