Found in western and northern Madagascar in dry deciduous scrublands and tropical xerophilous forests as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with an short stem enveloped completely by leaf sheaths carrying linear, apically, unequally bilobed, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter on a lateral, single flowered inflorescence.
