Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations of 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to strict, terete, densely leafy stems carrying erect-patent, lanceolate-ligulate, acute, somewhat oblique apically, narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the fall on a capitate, densely many flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white.
