Found in Sabah Borneo on Mt Kinabalu on forested slopes at elevations around 1060 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a caespitose, terete basally, complanate above, leafy above stem carrying 7 to 10 ligulate, obtuse to very shortly unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, terminal, subglobose, capitulum .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] wide, composed of many sheaths and bracts, many flowered inflorescence carrying white to lemon yellow flowers.
