Common Name or Meaning The Sphere Carrying Agrostophyllum

Found in Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines in lower montane forests on mossy tree trunks and branches at elevations around 1000 to 1600 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with a terete, leafy above stem carrying 2 ranked, linear-lanceolate, unequally, obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, terminal, globose, capitulum 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] wide, composed of many sheaths and bracts, many flowered inflorescence carrying white to lemon yellow flowers.
