Common Name or Meaning The Sphere Carrying Agrostophyllum

Found in Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines at elevations around 1000 to 1600 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with a terete, leafy above stem carrying 2 ranked, linear-lanceolate, unequally, obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, globose, capitulum 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] wide, composed of many sheaths and bracts, many flowered inflorescence carrying white to lemon yellow flowers.
