Common Name or Meaning The Globe Carrying Agrostophyllum

Found in Borneo on Mt Kinabalu in lower montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 2100 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an erect stem arising from a decumbent base,, clavate in outline stem enveloped completely by imbricate leaf sheaths and carrying distichous, oblong, broadly obtuse apically with rounded obtuse lobules, conduplicate below into the sessile base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, nodding, hemispherical to subglobose head about .92" [2.3 cm] wide, consisting of racemes, each raceme .4" [1 cm] long, 2 flowered invested with imbricating sheaths and carrying very small, cream colored flowers.

Somewhat similar to A cyathiforme but has much shorter stems and leaves, narrower petals and a different shaped lip
