Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, flattened stems carrying laxly 6 to 8, erect-patent, narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate-ligulate, acute, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] wide, capitate head of up to 20 flowers
