Found in southern Taiwan and the Philippines in evergreen forests on trees as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with tufted, slender at the base, dilated gradually upward stems enveloped by persistent leaf sheaths and carrying linear, obtuse and often unequally bilobed apically, somewhat conduplicate below into the rigid, persistent sheath base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, capitate, branched, many flowered inflorescence with each branch 2 to 3 flowered and has many floral bracts.
