Common Name or Meaning The Lampung Agrostophyllum [an area of southern Sumatra]

Found in Sumatra as a medium sized epiphyte with clustered, short, flattened, apically swollen stems carrying about 5, oblong to strap-shaped, slightly unequally bilobed, shiny green leaves taht blooms on a terminal, capitate, many, short, two to three flowered inflorescence clustered together in a many flowered capitate corymb.

The flowers are very similar to Agrostophyllum cyathiforme but the plant which has a short, broad, flattened, few leaved stem distinguishes it readily. Agrostophyllum cyathiforme has thin pendent stems carrying many linear-acute leaves.
