Found in the New Guinea in montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2300 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with basally terete, laterally flattened, glabrous, leafy stems enveloped by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying erect, oblong-ligulate, unequally bilobulate apically leaves that blooms at any time on a terminal, densely capitate, globose, many flowered inflorescence.
