Common Name or Meaning The Modest Amitostigma - In China Huang Hua Wu Zhu Lan

Found in western Sichuan, southwestern Yunnan on grassy slopes at elevations of 2300 to 4400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature szied, cold growing terrestrial with a subglobose tuber giving rise to a slender, glabrous stem carrying a single, oblong, herbaceous, gradually narrows below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, single flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate bract.
