Common Name or Meaning The Modest Hemipilia - In China Huang Hua Wu Zhu Lan

Found in western Sichuan, southwestern Yunnan provinces of China on grassy slopes at elevations of 2300 to 4400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature szied, cold growing terrestrial with a subglobose tuber giving rise to a slender, glabrous stem carrying a single, oblong, herbaceous, gradually narrows below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, peduncle ebracteate, 2 to 5.6" [5 to 14 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate, acute to acuminate, nearly as long as the ovary floral bract and carrying rather large yellow sometimes spotted with brown flowers.
