Found in Greece and Crete in short grasslands, garrigue, maquis and open woodlands at elevations up to 1300 meters as a small to just medium sizeed, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 4 to 9, in a basal rosette, cauline leaves and a few smaller bracts-like leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, short, lax, apical flowers firsts, 5 to 20 flowered inflorescence
