Found in France, Sardinia, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece and the eastern Aegean Islands at elevations around 260 meters as a cold growing terrestrial that is a natural hybrid between A. laxiflora and A. morio that blooms in the later spring on an erect, terminal, several flowered inflorescence
