Common Name The Venezuelan Anacheilium

Flower Size 1 1/4" [3.1 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 450 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to an oblong-ovoid, flattened, longitudinally ribbed pseudobulb carrying a single apical, erect, naarrowly elliptic-oblong, obtuse apically leaf that blooms in the late fall and winter on an erect, terminal, 2" [5 cm] long, 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence that arises on a mature growth through a prominent spathe and has non resupinate flowers.
