Found in Tanzania in montane evergreen forests at elevations of 900 to 2100 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with an erect, very short stem carrying 6 to 8, fleshy-coriaceous, conduplicate, linear, unequally bilobed apically, articulate to the imbricate leaf sheaths below leaves that blooms in the winter and later spring on clustered, 1.2 to 1.4" [3 to 3.5 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute bracts.
