Found in Azuay Ecuador at elevations around 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, ascending ramicauls enveloped by 2, loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a loose, to 4.4" [to 11 cm] long including the 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long peduncle, successively 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence

This species belongs in the genus Pleurothallis but as yet has not been described as such so I have it here
