Found in northwestern Madagascar in dry deciduous forests in low altitudes as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a stem carrying narrowly ensiform, thick leathery, pitted leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an axillary, short, few flowered inflorescence
