Common Name or Meaning The Solid [Squat] Angraecum
Flower Size 1 1/2 to 2" [4 to 6 cm] Spur 4" [10 cm]
Found in Madagascar in humid forests at elevations of 700 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short, stout stem carrying 5 to 14, spreading or recurved, thick and leathery, folded, gray green, mottled leaves that blooms in the late winter, spring and early summer on an axillary, short, few [1 to 3] flowered inflorescence that peirced the leaf sheath carrying the nocturnally, fragrant spicy to citrusy scented flower that has a "u"-shaped bend in it.
