This small to large sized, cool growing epiphytic orchid is found in Northern Madagascar on moss and lichen covered trees in mossy rainforests at altitudes around 1000 to 2000 meters with a pendant stem carrying linear-lanceolate, unequally and acutely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late spring and fall on a short to 4 3/4" [4 to 12 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered raceme with fleshy flowers.
