Found in Kenya and Tanzania on coral and other rocks near the coast and coastal woodlands, Baobab trees at elevations of sealevel to 80 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a short stem carrying 2 to 6, linear, leathery leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, 1 to 10" [2.5 to 25 cm] long, 8 to 25 flowered inflorescence
