Found in Madagascar in mossy montane forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short thickened stem carrying 5 to 12, 2 ranked apically, rigid, oblong, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall and again in the spring on an axillary, single flowered inflorescence entirely covered by 2 to 3 sheaths and a similar floral bract.
