Found in central east Madagascar in forests at elevations of 700 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a very short, erect stem carrying 2 to 3, succulent, distichous, cylindrical, obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the summer, fall and winter on a very short, axillary, 2 flowered inflorescence
