Found in the eastern coastal forests of Madagascar at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 5 to 6, erect to spreading, ligulate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by 2 to 3 compressed sheaths and has an oval, apiculate floral bract.
