Found in northern and east northeastern Madagascar at elevations around 900 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with strong, erect becoming pendent with age, somewhat flattened stems carrying 2 ranked, widely spaced, twisted to lie in one plane, thick, fleshy, linear-lanceolate, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on opposte the leaf base, peduncle stiff, 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence carrying fleshy flowers.
