Common Name The Fat Angraecum [possibly refers to the seedpod which is quite rotund]

Found in east central Madagascar at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters in moss forests on tree trunks and among rocks as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with a stem that is densly leafed in the apical portion with thin, light green, fairly equally bilobed and strongly veined leaves and blooms on a very short to 1 1/5" [2 to 3 cm] and carrying a single flower that occurs in the early spring.
