Found in Madagascar on tree trunks in mossy, lichen rich forests at elevations around 190 to 1200 meters as a miniature to just small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a pendant, thin stem carrying towards the apex, 5 to 6, well spaced, thinly linear, narrow, subacute leaves that blooms in the mid summer and earlier fall on an axillary, very short, single flowered inflorescence holding the small, glabrous flower close to the leaf axils.
