Found in Madagascar in moss and lichen rich rainforests on tree trunks at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect stem carrying 5 to 6, thick, broadly linear, canaliculate above, almost equally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by a few dried, rigid sheaths
