Found in north & central Madagascar in montane eriaceous scrubland and lichen rich forests at elevations of 1000 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an erect stem carrying distichous, imbricating, linear-ligulate leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on filiform, .4 to 2" [1 to 5 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
