Found in Tanzania in the eastern Usambara Mountains in scrub or on trees near the sea at elevations of sea level to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 2 to 5, in a fan, straight to arcuate, dull green, terete, stiff, linear, apiculate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a wiry, slender, 1.6 to 6.8" [4 to 17 cm] long, fractiflex, 2 to 9 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying nocturnally scented flowers
