Flower Size 1.4 to 2.8" [3.5 x 7 cm]
Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations of 1200 to 2300 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial on steep banks among bushes with dark green, obovoid, spined at the abcission point pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by a few smaller basal leaves and carrying 3, pale green, thin, plicate, ribbed leaves that blooms in the spring and arise with the new growth on an erect, 4.8 to 7.2" [12 to 18 cm] long, 1 to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
