Found in New Caledonia, Fiji and Samoa in humid forests at elevations of 150 to 900 as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with low lying, elliptic, acute, dark irridescent, blackish green with irregularily silver to pinkish red veined leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, pubescent to 6" [15 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence carrying white to greenish white, flowers that area villose on the exterior.
