Found in the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan in broad leaved, evergreen forests at elevations of 700 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, leafy to midway, squamulous above stem carrying rounded-ovate, white reticulated, obtuse to acute, submucronate apex, basally rounded and abruptly extended into a short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 2" [5 cm] long, 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence.
