Found in Manipur Assam at elevations around 600 to 800 meters as asmall sized, warm growing terrestrial with a decumbent stem carrying a few, 5 nerved, ovate to ovate-cordate, abruptly narrowing below into the inflated leaf bearing sheath that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, tomentose, several flowered inflorescence with very prominent, lanceolate,a cute to acuminate floral bracts
