Common Name The Stylid-Like Apostasia - In Australia - The Yellow Grass Orchid
Flower Size .25 to .4" [8 to 10 mm]
Found in Queensland Australia in moist soils near watercourses in dense rainforests and wetter forests at elevations of sealevel to 400 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect, tough, fibrous stem carrying many grasslike, arching, tapered, thin textured, dark green, thread-like apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, branched, axillary, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, wiry, 5 to 40 flowered inflorescence
CAUTION!!Many sources say this species is synomonous with A wallichii but Australian experts think that it is sufficiently different to have its own status.
