Found in Sumatra in montane forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool growing epipjhyte with close set, elliptic in cross-section stems carrying oblong-ovate, basally twisted, unevenly bilobed leaves taht blooms onnumerous, lateral, to .2" [5 mm] long, to 3 flowered inflorescence with reflexed, ovate-triangular, pale green floral bracts.

J J Smith compared this orchid to A lucida but this one has thinner leaves, light green flowers, a conical mentum, shorter petals, an adnate column foot to the lip and a very small appendage at the lip base.
