Found in the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu and Wallis and Futna in montane and cloud forests at elevations of 300 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with erect, clustered, slender, unbranched stems carrying distichous, narrowly elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse, narrowing below into the tubular sheath leaves that blooms on a terminal to rarely axillary, simple to rarely branched, pendulous, laxly many flowered inflorescence with reflexed with age, ovate to ovate-elliptic floral bracts and carrying pale green to greenish white flowers.
