Found in western Java in shady places at elevations of 400 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a non-flattened, unbranched stem carrying 2 ranked, ovate, obtuse, pale green flushed red leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal and lateral, shorter than the leaves, successively 1, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
